Jines Restaurant
About This Spot
Stepping into Jines Restaurant on Park Avenue feels like settling into a well-loved local diner where time slows just enough to savor simple, heartfelt moments. The atmosphere is inviting and relaxed, wrapped in the hum of friendly conversations and the comforting clatter of dishes. Whether you’re wandering in for a cozy breakfast, a leisurely brunch, or a casual lunch, there’s a subtle rhythm here that encourages you to stay a little longer and enjoy the company and surroundings.
This neighborhood spot balances the familiar warmth of a classic American diner with thoughtful hints of Greek and Italian influences, reflected gently in the menu’s diversity. The kitchen crafts a thoughtful selection of dishes that feel at once comforting and a bit unexpected, like a fluffy banana bread French toast that carries the kind of sweetness you remember from childhood or a roasted poblano avocado omelet with just the right touch of spice. Morning sips here—whether a rich chai latte or a carefully made cappuccino—meld seamlessly with the slow, easy pace of a morning well spent.
The friendly staff's attentiveness adds another layer to the experience, greeting regulars by name and welcoming newcomers as if they’d been long anticipated. Many diners cherish the option to step outside and soak in the gentle neighborhood light, making it easy to feel part of the local fabric.
Jines invites you to explore a simple, satisfying menu that unfolds between classics like chicken and waffles or scallops for something a little different. The presence of both hearty and health-conscious choices ensures there’s something for many tastes and dietary preferences, quietly supporting moments of genuine connection over shared food and familiar flavors.
It’s exactly the kind of place where you can pause your busy day to enjoy the kind of breakfast or brunch experience that feels timelessly local, a blend of comfort and discovery in the heart of Rochester.

A glowing ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for Jines Restaurant. Breakfast was so incredible we came twice. Hands down the best chai I’ve ever had. Amazing lattes, great organic options, and truly delicious gluten-free choices. Plenty of vegan and vegetarian options too. An absolute must.

Excellent service at Jines on Park Ave—our server was attentive and friendly. The turkey and cranberry sandwich was flavorful and well-balanced. Onion rings were crisp and perfectly seasoned. Highly recommend. Loved sitting outside!

Cool place, with a neat vibe. Service was great. But, food was just OK. I had the corned beef eggs Benedict, and my wife poblano avocado omelet, both on their "breakfast specialty" menu. The hash was super salty, and tasted like it came out of a can. The dish was good...just not great. Wife reports the omelet was good as well, just nothing to write home about.

We love making time to stop in for breakfast or lunch. It’s even better where the weather is right and we can sit outside! Service staff is always friendly and food quality and portions are great. Love the local vibe in Rochester, NY my favorite are the pancakes.. Randy Spurling On the Spot Cleaners

Great restaurant! So delicious. Banana bread french toast (with diced walnuts). Home-made corned beef hash and Greek dishes. Fantastic customer service. Highly recommend. Ladies, use the 1st bathroom.

Great service! Food is good and love to be able to sit outside! All park ave restaurants should have heated outdoor areas like they do in NYC. So you can eat outside all year.

Large quaint small-town diner reminiscent of the Gilmore Girls, but nicer. It's an easygoing family-friendly diner with great attentive service. The staff would check in periodically to offer coffee/tea refills, etc, at just the right times. We had the perfect leisurely brunch on Saturday. The experience was so nice we returned the next day. It was a great way to round out our trip to Rochester before driving back to NYC. PS: love the non-gendered bathrooms! Both were spacious, comfortable, and clean. Thanks again!
